The word Griot is a term to represent an African storyteller; one that told and acted out the stories of the past to pass on to the next generation. This blog is dedicated to uncovering, preserving, and sharing the rich and often underrepresented stories of Black history, art, and culture within the Black diaspora. Each post is a tribute to the resilience, creativity, and legacy of Black communities, told through the lens of the places that shaped them.
